A graduate of Lafayette College - BS Mechanical Engineering - and co-founder
of Mahaffy & Associates, Inc., Mr. Mahaffy has over 50 years experience
in the design and construction of new and renovated structures. He joined
the Robert P. Schoenijahn Company in 1946 and assumed leadership in 1962.
The name was changed to Anderson & Mahaffy, Inc. in 1970 and to the present
Mahaffy & Associates, Inc. in 1989. Mr. Mahaffy has a vast knowledge
of commercial, institutional, educational and industrial facilities.
Scott is a product of Widener University, were he received a BSE in Mechanical
Engineering. In addition, Scott has over 15 years of experience in planning,
design and construction administration of mechanical systems. His work history
includes governmental, industrial, commercial, correctional and educational
facilities. Among Scott’s personal experience is the completion of the New
Sussex Correctional Institute Parole Violation Center and the design of the
new lab and processing areas for Hewlett Packard (formerly Rockland
Technologies).
Mr. Fayda is a graduate of Villanova University and holds a BEE in
Electrical Engineering. In addition, Ed has over 17 years experience in the
electrical industry, gaining valuable insight to the profession as an
electrician, business owner, designer and engineer. Although versed
in a wide variety of electrical systems, he has an affinity for the
design of Medium voltage (600v-35 Kv) and Low voltage (12v, 120v, 208v, 480v)
Power distribution systems; Indoor and Outdoor Lighting and Sports Lighting
Systems; CCTV and Security Systems; Emergency and Standby Generating Systems;
Telecommunication network and single station systems as well as Fire Alarm
and Smoke Detection Systems. Recently, under Ed's direction, Mahaffy &
Associates was the recipient of awards from the Delaware Association of
Professional Engineers and the Illuminating Engineering Society for the design
of the High Mast Lighting System at the Delaware
Correctional Center.
